29 New Nov. 4 CO First Oct. 13 1 Democrat Melina Fox urges stronger focus on economy Candidates for Indiana's new District 6 congressional seat Fox opened her day here with some factory gate handshaking before moving on to Con-nersville for another news Fox said. She said the need to replace high-paying manufacturing jobs in the Sixth District was the result of the North American Free Trade Agreement. "We need fair trade policies that open up markets for our goods and services without exporting our jobs," Fox said.

Fox said if elected she will fine-tune her economic efforts with monthly forums in the district bringing together labor leaders, business leaders and farmers. Republican incumbent Mike Pence Democrat Melina Fox Libertarian Doris Robertson Here's Something To Smile About. Electric Prices Are The Same Today As They Were In 1994. By Don Fasnacht Staff writer Democrat Melina Fox says Congress must concentrate as much on the economy as on terrorism. That's what she would do.

Fox is challenging incumbent Republican Mike Pence for the Sixth District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Fox said the nation has lost more than 1.8 million manufacturing jobs in the last year. The decline has hit the Sixth District particularly hard, she said. "I believe east central Indiana is in a crisis," Fox said.

"We've heard a lot of horror stories from people across the district." Fox was in Richmond Tuesday plugging her plans for improving economic conditions here. She wants to power the engine of change with renewable fuels. "Indiana has the largest corn supply east of the Mississippi," Fox said. She would encourage the building of plants to turn it into ethanol and other fuels. "This area could supply the entire East Coast," Fox said.

Producing plant-based fuels would be an economic move that could help both agriculture and manufacturing in this region, electric prices then and now: Monthly Usage January 1994 January 2002 And not only are our prices the same as they were eight years ago, they'll stay the same until 2004. The dinner is 4-7 p.m. (Ohio time) in the Fellowship Hall. Menu items include fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, homemade noodles, green beans, corn, vegetable and fruit salads, homemade pies, cakes and beverages. Cost for adults is $6 and for children ages 6-12 is $3. The United Methodist Women organizes the dinner but much of the food and bazaar items are donated.

Money raised from the dinner helps with church projects and outreach to charitable needs in Preble County and the Miami Valley United Methodist missions. From staff reports.
