I’m not a perfume connoisseur, nor do I often stray from the beaten path. I found a handful of scents I loved and stuck to them for years. But last year, I started branching out and adding new fragrances to my collection. There’s one affordable addition to my vanity that keeps getting compliments every time I wear it. And it isn’t just me who loves it.
Retailing for £25 for 30ml, Sabrina Carpenter’s third addition to her Sweet Tooth scent range (Cherry Baby) sold out just a week after landing on shelves at Superdrug. This was a hat trick regarding Sabrina’s previous fragrances, which also sold out in record time. It seems Cherry Baby was popular for a good reason - if the comments I keep getting about its delicious aroma are anything to go off of.

The pop superstar made a splash in the world of perfume when she dropped her iconic and widely popular Sweet Tooth signature scent, which is reportedly sold a bottle every two minutes at Superdrug.
Meanwhile, her second and third perfumes maintained the same popularity. Caramel Dream sold 22 bottles an hour at Superdrug and Cherry Baby, following suit as it sold out in under a week.
The third fragrance that joined the Disney star's range was the flirtatious Cherry Baby, which was pitched as the next staple for any fans seeking a romantic and playful scent to add to their fragrance collection.
After I was lucky enough to get my hands on the sell-out perfume, I was unsure whether the scent would work for me - not really knowing what notes compliment me better than others. But it only took one wear before I started getting asked what I was wearing, something I’ve rarely had with other perfumes.
Launched on 9 October, Sabrina's triple-threat fragrance is currently available for £25 for 30ml or £40 for 75ml, matching the prices of the Sweet Tooth EDP and Caramel Dream.
That said, savvy shoppers can currently bag a bottle for less thanks to this Debenhams sale.
My new go-to scent is described as seductive and sweet . It boasts notes of cherries and chocolate to create romantic and sophisticated vibes. The combination of red poppy and peony adds a playfully flirty twist and the vanilla orchid accords add sensual undertones.
My now most-reached-for perfume is set to invoke Sabrina's irresistible charm and can seamlessly transition from daytime to night - something that appealed to me, as I don’t tend to have the chance to switch up perfumes throughout the day.
Clearly this perfume is a crowd-pleaser, as I don’t think there’s been any singular time I’ve worn it without someone asking me what it is or commenting on its delectable scent. Many have pointed out its sweet smell and complexity with an addictive and alluring core that’s caught men's and women’s attention whenever I wear it out.
One review I saw from a Superdrug shopper noted this scent is very strong and could trigger headaches, though this isn’t something I’ve experienced or had pointed out. I’ve found it’s a notable scent but not overpowering, and though it does linger for some time, the fragrance isn’t “in your face” or too much on the senses.
