Flavour? Check. Healthy? As good as it gets.

Cooking up a decent meal is a breeze on the carnivore diet. There’s something liberating about being restricted to just a few ingredients. No more drowning the plate in sauce in order to make it bearable. Carnivore recipes are the perfect combination of flavour and filling. There’s no guilt involved, and you also get to skip the usual sugar coma that drifts over after a meal. Here, you eat only in monster portion sizes, and stick to the peak sources of nutrition.

The Protein And Fat Ratio – The Secret Of Carnivore’s Success

This diet doesn’t have a rival when it comes to weight loss, weight control, or whatever sort of damage limitation you’re after. That’s because it allows for the perfect ratio between the three macronutrients, leading to meals that get you brimming with energy while staying in a fat burning state. Carbs are inessential, so they get a zero. Fat and protein are at 1:1, level-pegging, providing all the nutrition the body needs. Fat has the flavour, the energy, the satiety, while protein provides the building blocks that keep you on the muscle train.

What could go wrong? Here are my favourite recipes on the carnivore diet, the spiciest trend of 2020. Salt up!

The Egg Sandwich

A sandwich without the bread, one egg slammed on top of the other, with a few extras thrown in. You could try and grab it with both hands, but I’d recommend playing it safe and using a knife and fork. Wait a few weeks before you go all in on the caveman culture.

Bacon Waffles

Does bacon in a waffle make sense? It doesn’t have to. Once you’re jumping head on into carnivore, your pallet is going to change dramatically. The carbs stop tasting so sweet, while the savory kicks in meat take a turn for the better. This special recipe is also really easy to make, with no need to be hands on with your cooking. Blend up the mixture, set it in the waffle maker, and claim your reward in 12 ish minutes.

There’s no need to pick between your options when you can wedge all of them into a XXL omelette. Once again cooking is foolproof, and even you mess up, just have it scrambled.

Cheesy Casserole

This creamy dish may feel like it belongs on a cheat day, but this is now a sensible pick for a weekday evening. Cheese, beef, eggs, all baked into one dish. This is probably the essential recipe in any carnivore chef’s toolkit.

Carnivore Pizza

This may not sound right, but there are no tricks here. It’s pizza, just with meat instead of the usual carb-heavy dough. You can, and should, get creative with the toppings. There are so many different cooked meats you can throw on to mix up the flavour.

You may realise by now that there’s a pretty consistent feature across these carnivore recipes. Beef, eggs and cheese. These are the peak nutritional sources I was alluding to.

The Carnivore Burger

No culinary skills required, just fry up a few burger patties and wedge everything else in between. As a warning, you may need a big pair of mitts in order to get a decent grip.

For maximum points, make sure you use 100% beef burgers. Most quarter pounders have a crazy amount of stuffing thrown in, which can see your carb count start to rise. Even a 90% meat option will be a good fit.

No buns, no problem. This is as simple as recipes can get, so food can't get more appropriate for the caveman carnivore lifestyle.
